Sports Day

Tuesday 19th June

As usual, the field events, consisting of the Long Jump, Javelin, Shot Putt and Cricket Ball Throw, were held during the morning of Sports Day.  Those in S1-S3 who had finished in the Top 10 for each event during the athletics block were invited to take part.

For the first time, senior pupils were given the chance to take part in Sports Day. Anyone could sign up for the Cricket Ball Throw and Long Jump. Each of the participants had three attempts to determine their finishing positions and gold, silver and bronze badges were awarded to the top three in each event.

Sack Race Winner – Mr Allan

Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we were unable to hold the staff relay this year.

The whole day was a huge success and thanks must go to all those who were involved.  The PE department would like to thank all the staff members who assisted backstage in the running of the day and those who took part in the staff races.  There are so many people involved that the day simply wouldn’t be able to run successfully without them. Bring on Sports Day 2019.
